What has changed in Life Event App, in the words of someone using it. Entries are dated by the month the work was merged, which is not always the month it reached the live site. Fixes with no visible effect are not listed here. For what the product does today, see the facts page.
August 2026
- Published a security policy at /security covering vulnerability reporting, scope, testing rules and how data is stored, and pointed security.txt at it.
- Published this changelog.
- Published the files that let the mobile app claim lifeeventapp.com links, and declared the association in the app configuration.
- Rebuilt the landing page around the occasions the product actually covers, with a mobile navigation menu and the brand marks in place.
- Published the operating entity and location on the contact page, and a facts page stating plainly what the product is, what it costs, and what we do not publish.
- Removed the cookie banner. It recorded a choice that nothing read, so both of its buttons behaved identically. The cookies policy now states what is set and why.
- Corrected claims across the site, the FAQ and the machine-readable summary where they overstated what the product does.
- Closed seven row-level security findings, scoped file uploads to the event that owns them, and moved event links onto cryptographically generated slugs.
- Email addresses that hard bounce or report a message as spam are now suppressed automatically instead of being mailed again.
- Default event cover photographs are served from our own origin rather than a third-party image host.
July 2026
- Menus can list the ingredients of each dish, and each dish gets its own QR label a guest can scan at the table.
- Added an enterprise integration path: per-organisation API access, form schemas, submissions, and outbound webhooks.
- Check-in scanning is now atomic, so a pass scanned twice at once cannot be counted twice.
- Rate limits on public token pages and guest-submitted forms.
- Replaced every browser confirmation box with a styled dialog that can be dismissed with Escape.
- The host sidebar can be reordered, and a save that fails now says so instead of reporting success.
- Guest lists and menu editors refresh in place rather than reloading the page.
June 2026
- Broadcasts: pick recipients person by person, see delivery status per recipient, and send a post-event thank-you from the same composer.
- Security, reliability and accessibility hardening across the app, plus a sitemap and startup checks for missing configuration.
May 2026
- First release. Event pages for 54 occasion types, with invitations, RSVP tracking, guest lists, co-hosts, seating, schedules, speakers, menus, galleries, tributes, registries, donations, auctions and ticketing.
- Invitation Studio: one workspace for the cover, the typography, the layout and the shareable invitation card, with a live phone and desktop preview.
- QR check-in with a volunteer scanner, guest passes, and printable name badges.
- RSVP confirmations and reminders by email, with the venue address optionally hidden until a guest replies.
- Marketing broadcasts with one-click unsubscribe.
- Deleted events keep a 30-day grace period before they are purged.
- Stock photography library, font picker and splash screens for event covers.
