Cookies Policy
Effective May 11, 2026
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Local storage and session storage are similar mechanisms. This policy explains how Life Event uses these technologies.
What we use
Strictly necessary (always on)
- Authentication: Supabase auth tokens stored in cookies and local storage so you stay signed in. Without these, the app doesn't work.
Functional
- Preference storage: your language, timezone, theme overrides, and notification toggles.
- Web push subscription: your browser's push endpoint, used to notify you of new RSVPs and announcements you've opted into.
Analytics
We use none. There are no advertising trackers and no analytics scripts of any kind, first-party or third-party. Because nothing non-essential is set, there is no consent banner to accept or decline. If that changes, this page will say so before it happens, and a consent control will be in place at the same time.
Payments
Stripe sets cookies on its hosted Checkout and Customer Portal pages for fraud prevention. These cookies are governed by Stripe's privacy policy.
Your choices
Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled. You can:
- Clear cookies in your browser settings (this will sign you out).
- Use private/incognito browsing.
- Turn off browser notifications via your browser's site settings.
Updates
We will update this policy when our cookie use changes. If we ever introduce a cookie that is not strictly necessary, we will ask for consent before setting it.
