Facts
This page states what Life Event App is, what it does, what it costs and who it is for. It is written plainly so it can be quoted without editing. Where we do not publish something, the last section says so rather than leaving the question open.
What it is
Life Event App is a web platform for planning and running a life event. A host builds an event page, invites guests, collects replies, and manages the day from one place. Guests open a link in a browser. There is nothing to install.
One product covers 54 occasion types across seven categories: celebration, memorial, religious, cultural, business, community and recovery. Weddings, funerals, wakes, baptisms, quinceañeras, galas, fundraisers, graduations, pet memorials and sobriety anniversaries are all among them. Each type opens a template matched to its own tone. Twelve themed templates ship today, and a host can override the colours.
It runs in a browser on any device and can be installed to a home screen as a web app.
What it does
The host portal has twenty-nine sections: an overview, and twenty-eight capabilities. Any of the twenty-eight can be hidden; the overview cannot. Which capabilities the portal puts forward depends on the occasion.
- The invitation
- Event details, cover photograph, typography and colour, a shareable invitation card, and a sealed reveal that keeps the date or the news hidden until a chosen moment.
- People
- Guest list with CSV import, invitations and RSVP tracking, co-hosts with role-based access, seating chart, check-in, printed and NFC badges.
- Programme
- Running order, speakers, menu with per-dish ingredients and a QR code for each dish, guest photo gallery with host moderation, live guest chat, tribute wall, games.
- Money
- Gift registry with claim tracking, one-time and recurring donations, silent auctions, ticket sales, payment methods.
- Outreach
- Guest messaging and thank-you broadcasts, sponsor tiers, vendor records, NFC tags, live streaming.
- After the day
- Attendance and RSVP analytics, an AI assistant that drafts copy for the host to edit, a memory book assembled from messages and photographs, CSV exports.
Live streams can embed YouTube, Vimeo, Twitch, Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Google Meet. A production RTMP feed can be run through Mux instead, with automatic recording so the stream can be watched after the day.
Payments, donations and ticket sales run through Stripe. Invitation and notification email is delivered through Resend. A donation receipt is emailed automatically to any donor who leaves an email address, and where the event belongs to an organisation whose profile carries a tax ID, the receipt states it.
The AI assistant writes first drafts: invitation copy, host messages, tribute prompts, thank-you notes, a starting seating chart, and photo highlights. Everything it produces is a draft the host edits, keeps or deletes.
What it costs
Prices are in US dollars. An event can be built and previewed without a card. Publishing is a separate step, and paying is a step after that.

Who it is for
- Families arranging a funeral or memorial
- Usually within a few days, usually by someone grieving. Photographs wait for approval before anyone sees them, faces can be blurred, the venue address can stay hidden until a guest has replied, and donations can be taken in place of flowers.
- Couples and families planning a wedding
- Seating, dietary needs, the running order, who speaks and when, a registry where a claimed gift disappears so nothing arrives twice.
- Hosts of birthdays, graduations and other milestones
- A guest list that lives on phones. Check-in by NFC badge or scanned pass, one chat thread, a shared gallery.
- Organisations running a benefit or gala
- A fundraising target with a live total, silent auctions where the host settles with the winner, sponsor placement, paid entry with a door list.
- Organisations buying for repeated use
- Foundations, schools and funeral homes are the buyers the Enterprise plan is written for.
How it works for a guest
A guest does not need an account. They open the link, choose a response, and are finished. An email address is optional and is used only to send a reminder or a copy of the details.
The interface is available in 14 languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Hebrew, Hindi, Swahili and Yoruba. Arabic and Hebrew are laid out right to left throughout.
Privacy and data
An event has one of three privacy settings. Public events are listed and indexable. Unlisted events, the default, are reachable only by their link. Invite-only events require an invitation. There is no fourth setting. A password protected value existed in the schema, was never implemented, and was removed.
Photographs uploaded by guests wait for host approval before they appear. That applies to every event and there is no setting that turns it off. A guest can also blur the faces in a photograph before uploading it, and that blurring runs in their own browser. It is a step the guest chooses, not something applied to every upload.
A host can hide the venue address until a guest has replied.
Data is held in PostgreSQL. Row-level security is enabled on every table that holds account, event or guest content. The one table without it is an internal log of which scheduled reminders have already been sent. Photo uploads are scoped to their event. Traffic is served over HTTPS with strict transport security.
An account can be deleted from Settings. Deletion is permanent and covers the profile, every event the account owns, guest lists, RSVPs, registry items, donations it initiated, photographs, tributes and notification preferences, within 30 days. Donation receipts may be kept for up to seven years for tax compliance.
